Translation Service

The practice has access to a translation service please ask reception for details.

Telephone for Advice from a Doctor

The receptionists have been asked not to interrupt your Doctor if he/she is with a patient unless your call is urgent, you may therefore be asked to phone back after surgery at a given time when your Doctor is free.

Emergency On Call service for use outside of Surgery Hours

This service is staffed by local doctors on behalf of the Practice to provide consultations for problems that will not wait until the Surgery next opens.  Please do not contact the out of hours doctor for routine appointments and non-urgent prescriptions. This is an emergency service that requires patients to attend an emergency centre unless they are too ill to move.  It is not a drop in centre, you must ring first if you need the doctor.
Always phone the surgery on 0151 928 8849 for an up to date answering machine message which will tell you how to contact a doctor.  This service is for emergencies only; it is considered most serious to misuse this service.

Disabled Patients

There is a disabled access ramp at the front of the building and consulting rooms available on the ground floor.  There is also a WC on the ground floor that has wheelchair access.  If you have difficulty climbing stairs, please inform the receptionist so that arrangements may be made for you to be seen on the ground floor.

Services Not Provided by the NHS

Certain examinations, vaccinations, letters and certificates are not provided on the NHS.  The Doctors or staff will inform you of the relevant fee.

NHS 111

Our Out of Hours service provider is Go to Doc.  Patients can contact the Out of Hours service by contacting NHS 111.
This phone number is given on the practice answering machine message and the service is available between 6:30pm - 8:00am Monday to Friday and also covers weekends and Public Bank Holidays.
